Here are the second round of quarterly PFAS testing results for the Nantucket Natural Compost (co-compost) produced at the landfill, reclaimed soils and Wastewater Treatment Facility (WWTF) dewatered sludge (residuals):

The testing of reclaimed soils, and dewatered sludge was a voluntary action and not required by MassDEP but done in effort for the Town of Nantucket to be proactive as our community, like many others, tries to navigate the “forever chemical” PFAS. As more work is done regarding PFAS, NTP will be attending meetings and sharing information
