Nantucket Tipping Point received notification from the IRS on April 21, 2020 that we obtained 501(c)(3) non-profit status.
Obtaining non-profit status is a tremendous boost to our organization and supporters. It enables us to continue to promote - through education and community engagement - the work of protecting Nantucket from high-density development, the depletion of Nantucket's finite natural resources, the protection of endangered, rare and state-listed plants and animals, and supporting the Town's Leadership to act responsibly and sustainably in making decisions for the island and its resident's future.
